Washing cycle was completed, but there is unused fabric softener in the dispenser? The most likely cause is a clogged fabric softener dispenser, which needs to be cleaned. After the wash cycle is complete, detergent and fabric softener residue may be stuck to the detergent and fabric softener dispenser or its housing. This can also clog the water nozzles above the dispenser.
How to clean the fabric softener and detergent dispenser
Remove the fabric softener and detergent dispenser from the washer simply by lifting it up or pressing the mechanical stopper.
Allow it to soak in a basin of water, then use a small brush and a suitable washing machine cleaner to remove stubborn gel and powder deposits. Clean the holes and nozzles in the compartment with a toothpick. Rinse thoroughly under running warm water.
Use a small brush to clean the inside of the washer-dryer where the tray is installed. Use an old toothbrush and descaler. After washing, wipe the tray dry and put it back in place.
Clean the inside of the entire washing machine using a special detergent or fabric softener inserted in the detergent or fabric softener tray according to the instructions and run the 60°C or 90°C program.
After completing the cycle, leave the detergent and fabric softener dispenser open for several hours.
Clean the detergent and fabric softener dispenser at least once a month.
Some washing machines have a self-cleaning detergent dispenser with smooth walls and nozzles in each corner that automatically flush the detergent dispenser chambers and remove detergent residue, eliminating the need for regular manual cleaning of the detergent dispenser.
